ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The Digital Transformation Specialist is responsible for driving digital transformation across Ontario Northland's agency modernization efforts and programs. This role works with program and field leaders to assess digital readiness, develop digital transformation plans, and implement digital change. The Digital Transformation Specialist will have a critical role in developing, leading and participating in user acceptance testing while collaborating with stakeholders to assist in the training and support of end-users during implementations, ensuring smooth adoption of the system and deliver excellent customer experiences.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works closely with the Manager, EAM and program owners during the EAM implementation
  • Works in collaboration with Agency Modernization to contribute to future projects in creating and executing digital transformation strategies related to specific products and services.
  • Work with leaders to collaboratively develop and drive the company's overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap with a focus on the everyday technical aspects of digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new requirements/systems and assess alignment with Modernization Action Plan digital transformation strategy, organizational goals and objectives.
  • Complete the skills gap analysis, including the assessment / validation of software applications.
  • Support project management in the execution of digital transformation activities while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope and quality
  • Assist with the development of new fit-for-purpose digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and improve service level.
  • Support quality assurance of data and information and continual improvement
  • Work closely with Information Technology Services department to produce data mapping and conversion documentation including detailed conversion and data migration strategies.
  • Assist with data migration, data cleansing, and data integration activities to ensure accurate and seamless transfer of data between systems with excellent knowledge of functional utilization of data within system.
  • Define user stories based on understanding of processes and business functions, while informing the development of test scenario to business needs.
  • Perform system testing (SIT), lead/support user acceptance testing (UAT and quality assurance to ensure the system meets functional requirements.
  • Conducts meetings/discussions with team colleagues, operation subject matter experts, senior management, as well as outside consultancy services.
  • Collaborate with vendors and consultants, as needed, to ensure effective implementation and maintenance of systems.
  • Serve as a key facilitator at various meetings such as requirements kick-offs, workshops and validation, approval and training sessions, and other meetings as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • University degree in Digital Transformation, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Digital Transformation Certificate
  • Project Management Certificate and/or Change Management Certificate preferred
  • 3 to 5 years' experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products
  • Experience in implementation of major business systems (ERP, EAM, MRP)
  • Knowledge of EAM/ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Hexagon EAM, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics) and their modules
  • Knowledgeable in Change Management, Business Analysis and Project Management methodologies (ADKAR, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Risk Management, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Project, MS Office, SQL and other related software
    Excellent analytical skills with logical approach to problem solving
  • Self-directed, resourceful, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Commitment to Health and Safety
