One of our manufacturing clients in Windsor-Essex region is looking for a Production Manager for their facility.
Pay - $100k-$110k/yearKey Responsibilities:
  • Production Oversight: Plan, organize, and manage production activities to meet output and quality targets.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, encouraging a positive work environment that promotes safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure all food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) are maintained and complied with throughout production.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimal downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as industry-specific food production standards.
  • Cost Control: Manage and optimize production costs to stay within budget while maintaining quality.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, and efficiency metrics.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the food industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in production management software, with knowledge of ERP or MRP systems preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
