Position Description:
- Plan, organize and implement the museum summer children's program
- Recruit and train youth volunteers to assist with summer children's program
- Assist with customer service, special events, outreach activities, tours, exhibitions, collections management and routine museum operations.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- College or University Student enrolled in a visual art/education program, history, library science or other related programs with related work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with the public and assist as required.
- Computer and general office skills; knowledge of MS Office, Past Perfect, Adobe Creative Suite an asset.
- Experience and aptitude working with children and youth.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated research skills would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- First Aid Certification.
Note:
Employment is conditional upon attendance at all training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.
At time of application must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution or institution of higher learning.
Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.

Note: Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Duration:
The duration of this contract will be approximately 4 months. Applicants are expected to fulfill the entire contract period commencing April 30, 2025 until August 29, 2025.
