Seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will specialize in handling complex litigation cases related to commercial insurance. This role involves representing the interests of insurance companies, businesses, and individuals in various disputes and legal challenges. The candidate will be responsible for offering expert legal advice, negotiating settlements, and advocating for clients in court to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Manage a portfolio of complex insurance litigation cases, including but not limited to, coverage disputes, bad faith claims, policy interpretations, and large-scale liability claims.
- Provide strategic legal advice and solutions to insurance companies and commercial clients regarding potential litigation risks and dispute resolution.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents and contracts related to insurance and commercial matters.
- Represent clients in trials, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and regulatory proceedings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and offering tailored legal advice.
- Lead and mentor junior lawyers and legal staff within the litigation team.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that legal risks are identified and managed effectively.
- Keep abreast of changes in insurance law and commercial litigation practices to provide proactive advice to clients and the firm.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge base and thought leadership in insurance commercial litigation through writing articles, conducting seminars, and participating in professional associations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in insurance commercial litigation, with a proven track record of successfully handling complex cases.
- Strong understanding of insurance law, commercial law, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior staff.
