Securiguard is looking for an experienced security professional to join our team at a local College Campus.

Our mission at Securiguard is to make people feel safe. As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety and security of students, staff and stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing college policies and procedures, by monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to site, reporting any hazards or security breaches and responding to incidents.

We are currently looking for an individual to fill 1 full time day position at our Barrie Campus. The candidate must be available for the shift schedule as noted below

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

All shifts are 8am to 8pm

• 1+ year of security experience and/or a diploma in the field of security or law enforcement
• Valid Class G Driver's License with clean driving record
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Standard First Aid & Level C CPR with AED
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfort with two-way radio communication
• Approaches a situation with a listening mindset and empathy
• Capable of standing, walking, and sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to problem solve, and use discretion and good judgement
• Use of force training is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned area on foot to ensure personal, building, and equipment security
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security and monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities
• Implementing standard operating procedures for reporting, and dealing with incidents when applicable
• Carrying out duties while maintaining excellent standards of customer care
• Ensuring guests are abiding by the protocols set out by the college
• Perform access control and dispatching responsibilities as set out in the command center
• Maintain excellent and friendly customer service to staff and students
• Assist patrons on site if requested
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and monitoring CCTV and investigating areas
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
