1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a Retention Marketing Manager who will be responsible for driving goals & objectives in support of our residential (B2C) strategy, and for achieving customer loyalty & lifetime value targets.
In this high-priority role, your oversight will ensure exceptional retention programs on behalf of our Franchise System, with a focus on data-driven strategies, segmentation and deepening relationships with our existing customers. You will be responsible for supporting innovation pilots, and leading cross-functional teams to execute product launches and other marketing programs aimed at our existing residential customer, in support of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?'s growth strategy. You possess strong data-driven marketing capabilities and analytical skills.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Strong understanding of lifecycle marking, with experience in CRM or segmentation
- Develops lifecycle marketing programs leveraging data-driven strategies in order to reduce churn and increase the lifetime value of our existing residential customer.
- Implements segmentation strategy to identify opportunities and improve personalization & customer experience. Includes analyzing customer data to create segments; defining target audiences; and considering behaviour, demographics, purchase history and engagement patterns. Plans cross-channel campaigns (email, SMS, in app notifications, loyalty programs, etc) to engage and retain customers.
- Collaborates with Go-To-Market, CRM, Web, and Paid Media teams when applicable, to enable product pilots and launches that support goal achievement. Collaborates with Product to ensure benefits align to customer need, and with Creative to ensure communications adhere to our 1-800-GOT-JUNK? brand voice.
- Collaborates with CRM, Analytics and BI teams to measure program performance and to leverage customer insights & analysis in order to optimize programs and inform future marketing strategies. Refines and optimizes segmentation strategies based on performance insights to maximize ROI. Monitors and reports on pilots, launches and ongoing program performance both system-wide and at a franchise level when required.
- Establishes and strengthens ways of working and processes to improve efficiency & productivity
- Exercises strong accountability and oversight of any provided marketing investments related to B2C retention strategies and programs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Retention marketing skills with a customer-centric mindset who understands Product marketing; Go-To- Market; CRM; and Web & eCommerce.
- Broad marketing skills and capabilities (generalist): paid advertising, social media, content and creative
- Experience with planning & executing product marketing programs aimed at retained customers
- Data-driven orientation and expertise
- Results-driven and focused on goal achievement through customer-centricity
- Excellent relationship management (within marketing teams, sales functions, vendors and within the Franchise Partner community)
- Self-starter, naturally curious and a problem-solver
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership, motivating and inspiring teams of marketing professionals toward the achievement of business goals and objectives
- Continuous learner who loves staying on top of the latest marketing innovations and trends
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary up to $85 000 - $95 000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).

- Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
