We are currently seeking to add an Accounts Payable Lead to join our team. If you are a driven, innovative, and inspired individual you might just be the perfect fit!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full cycle accounts payable process (including but not limited to entering invoices in the accounting system, coordinating with vendors regarding invoicing, weekly payment processing / payment inquiries and discrepancies, reconciling vendor statements (research and correct discrepancies, follow-up on POs and supplier invoices).
- Leads and manages the AP Portal systems and other projects and initiatives for the Accounts Payable function directed towards process improvements
- Manage responses for vendor queries, including master data changes
- Weekly reporting and analysis, ensure that the credit balances are reviewed on regular bases
- Audit and process employee expense reports in accordance with the company travel/expense policy.
- Assist in month end closing and with audit support as necessary.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to personal expenses
- Ensure all aspects of the accounts payable system are set up and operating in accordance with the relevant legislation and company policies
- Accountable for payables internal controls; ensuring proper procedures, policies, and rules are applied to the key activities in Accounts Payable function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- Position requires a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible industry experience.
- Experience with SAGE accounting system.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mindset to continuously improve processes.
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Working Environment:
- This is an in-office position, based out of KBL's Leduc office.
- Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
