We provide accessible, quality, culturally safe and holistic health care that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We work with our 11 First Nation community partners and 1 Indigenous Friendship Centre in the provision of primary care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services, and health promotion services. We are a Core Partner in the Maamwesying Ontario Health Team, which is the first fully Indigenous Led Ontario Heath Team in province.
The opportunity: The role of Client Care Coordinator is to provide clerical and clinical support to the Northern Clinic primary care team. The scope of this role is to work within an interdisciplinary team to coordinate client focused primary care to community members seeking and accessing health care services. The Client Care Coordinator will also undertake the role of service liaison and all communications with community partners.
This position requires regular travel between our clinic sites located at 3 Maple Street, Wawa, and 814 Fox Lake, Chapleau.
"What you need to bring with you:
- Medical Office Administrative Assistant Certification, or equivalent experience
- Must possess excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in inventory and document control
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to promote teamwork
- Must be self-directed, resourceful and possess critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge and proficient in the use of office equipment, technology and various software applications
- Experience in the use of electronic medical records would be a definite asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment
- Must possess a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle

What to expect? Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage, or cedar may occur.
