Cabin Resources Management has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in four main divisions: forestry, environmental operations, recreation solutions and wildfire management. We are currently looking to add a Project Manager to our Forestry team.
Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Field and office supervision, road and boundary layout, data entry and quality control for all deliverables
- Training and mentoring for all team members
- Meet with clients to ensure needs are being met and goals will be achieved
- Purchase ordering, budgeting, invoicing, coordination with other project managers
- Oversee safety within the field, report incidents, delegate roles and reporting accordingly
- Assist with business development through proposal requests, qualification drafting and invitations to tender
What we are looking for:
- Strong leadership towards safety
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and legally allowed to work in Canada
- Registered and in good standing with the ABCFP as an RPF or RFT
- More than 5 years experience managing multi-phase timber development contracts (>100,000 m3/yr) including road and cut block layout in the interior of BC (cable layout experience an asset)
- Experience with tactical development, total chance and/or total resource planning
- Experience with ArcGIS and creation/manipulation of LIDAR products
- Minimum of three years of experience preparing Site Plans, Harvest Plans and Cutting Permits and working with Forest Stewardship Plans in the BC Interior
- Sound understanding of ground-based, cable and helicopter harvesting and road systems engineering in the Interior of BC
- Thorough understanding of FRPA, FPPR, GAR Orders and Higher Level Plans as they pertain to operational planning
- Familiar with BC's forest legislation and regulations, CP submissions, appraisals, road designs
