Overview

Working as a Mold Maker (Tool & Die), you will be reporting to our Mold Group Supervisor. You will play a vital role in supporting production within our Just-In-Time lean manufacturing environment. General Job Description

Responsible for servicing production molds including preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs. This position encompasses jigs, fixtures, general machining and the manufacturing end of arm tooling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting production in times of repair and/or trouble. shooting injection processes.
• Prepared to be “on call”.
• Running/Operating all tool room equipment.
• Capable of Mig, Tig and Foil Welding.
• Working knowledge of master cam.
• Across shift coverage, overlapping when necessary.
• Must be certified Mold Maker/Tool and Die/Machinist.
• Capable of training Apprentices.
• Work in a safe manner within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5S in all assigned areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
• TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.
• Must be willing to work Overtime when required

Education and Experience

• Must have completed apprenticeship program for either Mold maker / Tool and Die maker (3 year school + hours)
• Required proof of a 430A/431A License certificate
• Experience working in Automotive or Manufacturing Industry Considered an Asset
• Knowledge of Injection Molding Machines is considered asset
