Product Management, Technician 1
We currently, we have an opening for a Product Management, Technician I . Reporting to the Manager. Primary tasks include the organization of day-to-day activity of the group: ensuring that the instruments are in good working condition, assigning tests to be done on instruments based on workload, monitoring the progress of data completion, providing status updates for projects and communicating any delays or issues that may impact meeting project deadlines.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Product Management, the Product Management (PM) Technician 1 is responsible for performing and recording the physical measurements for the cigarettes and/or other tobacco related products prior to testing, this includes whole tobacco.
Primary responsibilities of the job:
- Mark, block and pull the cigarettes according to the Pull Sheets and the RPTS Pull Sheets.
- Sign out the product, count and record daily the cigarettes during smoking.
- Store and record inventory of the product after the project is reported.
- Destroy and discard the product as per the process.
- Record the physical measurements of cigarettes.
- Prepare Whole Tobacco sample prior analytical testing (as required).
- Re-bag and label the cigarettes after the testing is complete.
- Read protocol for projects including the weekly schedule to understand the testing requirements.
- Perform e-work duties as per requirements and process.
- Use instrumentation as required.
- Implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times.
- Ensure that the equipment is calibrated, ready to use.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum High school education or equivalent experience.
- Diploma/Degree (Laboratory Technician),is considered an asset.
