Job Duties- Safely and efficiently lead multiple crews and equipment in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
- Responsible for all safety metrics within the district.
- Assist in recruitment of team members.
- Provide mentorship, training, and oversee development.
- Take the lead in planning, sequencing, and execution of assigned work for crews.
- Provide support, expertise, and leadership on specialized jobs.
- Support other regions where required.
- Operate up to 8-ton crane.
- Oversee the preventative maintenance of all equipment within a specific location.
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
- 3-5 years' experience as Arborist.
- 5+ years as a supervisor/lead.
- Valid provincial driver's license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
- Certificate in crane operation, up to 8 ton required.
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
- ISA Certification is required.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Pesticide and herbicide license preferred.
- Full time. Year-round employment.
- Occasional overtime required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
