Job Summary: The Technical Sales and Service Representative (TSSR) will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and service for surface mining equipment in the Fort McMurray region. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of surface mining shovel and support equipment manufactured by OEM's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support and service for surface mining shovel and support equipment manufactured by OEMS, including technical guidance on maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical needs and provide effective solutions.
- Conduct equipment training sessions for customers to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Maintain detailed service records and prepare technical reports.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work closely with the L&H Industrial, Inc. engineering and technical teams to provide feedback and improve equipment design and functionality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in surface mining technology and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience, including HET mechanic, millwright, or technical trade.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical service and support within the surface mining industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Mining Shovels, Mining Support Equipment, including hydraulic system and mechanical components.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Experience with CAD software or other technical design tools.
- Previous experience working in the Fort McMurray region.
