Role Overview:As the DevOps Engineer, you will provide ongoing support to development and product teams, and ensure the reliability and performance of live systems. The role also involves handling necessary fixes and system maintenance to address issues and maintain consistent functionality across platforms.

THE LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta
THE START DATE: Q1 2025

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Automate deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes and Google Cloud
• Develop and maintain monitoring and logging systems to ensure service uptime and availability
• Automate the creation and configuration of development environments using tools like Python Fabric
• Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot production issues as needed
• Responsible for overseeing PCI requirements including evidence collection, quarterly reports generation and maintenance
• Continuously improve our development tools and deployment processes by identifying areas for automation and optimization
• Work with other departments to improve the operations across the company
  

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1 years experience in a DevOps role or similar position
• Expertise in deploying and managing services on Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with automation tools like Python Fabric
• Solid experience in Python programming
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and software development best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and principles
• Must work great in a team and also as an individual contributor
• Must have the hustle and drive to take initiative and make things happen
