Project Manager
What you'll be doing
- Lead IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding project updates, scope adjustments, and overall satisfaction
- Coordinating IT projects and efforts with internal and external technical specialists, vendors, purchasers, and other cross-functional departments
- Working with technical team members to define project deliverables, RAID log, RACI Chart, budget reports, project milestones and timelines
- Present and report on project status with external and internal stakeholders
- Maintains project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status and disseminates information to team members and customers as defined in the communications plan
- Manage project issues and risks (e.g. identifies, monitors, escalates, resolves, and reports) through the team
- Escalate issues to the senior management team and updates the issues logs and risk registers for the overall project
- Ability to establish and foster relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Creating a priority list of all tasks in the workflow with feedback from senior management on business priorities
- Analyzing the project workload of each employee to ensure proper resource utilization
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors in the execution of projects including contract management and working with the procurement office
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including RFP creation, SOW creation and proposal presentations, to secure and define new projects
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Performs other tasks based on management requirements and instructions
What are the requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- 5-8 years of project management and related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Proven ability to foster relationships with clients or key decision makers
- Managed IT Services experience is considered an asset
- Experience in engaging with potential clients through pre-sales activities and the RFP process
- Excellent communication, oral presentation, and written skills
- Experience working with a CRM tool (ie. Salesforce, ConnectWise) is an asset
