Our client is the worldwide market leader in the manufacture and sale of expanded glass. There are a high-quality, ecological lightweight filler made of post-consumer recycled glass, which is used in a variety applications.
They are looking for mainly the afternoon shift, 2 pm - 10:30 pm although they have morning shifts available as well.
They want people with solid experience in heavy Industrial and ideally with some leadership qualities.
Job responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, inspect, repair, and replace components for industrial machinery. Equipment includes bucket elevators, screw conveyors, pumps, fans, various large rotating equipment such as kins, ball mills, etc.
- Interpret schematics, diagrams and manuals and written technical instructions to help troubleshoot problems and repair machinery.
- Complete minor fabrication and rigging work as necessary, complete hand sketches and drawings if required.
- Completes preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
- Ensure the work done in the field is carried out as per the company's health and safety policies and all applicable laws.
- Ensure all completed work and notes are diligently captured in the CMMS database on a daily basis.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of heavy industrial machinery
- Skill competencies include computer, problem-solving, analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organization skills and communication skills
- Must be capable of safely lifting up to 50lbs regularly, wearing PPE (glasses, helmet, hearing protection, safety boots, respirator) while working.
- Must be capable of going up and down stairs regularly.
- Experience with rigging, and fabrication welding.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and compressors is required, with some knowledge of control systems, PLCs, instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Candidates with a 433A license, with a Certificate of Qualification and a Certificate of Apprenticeship, will be preferred.
- Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment is preferred, especially from a cement or mining surface plant.
This is a Full Time position and on site 5 days week in Innisfil, ON
