One of our Fortune 100 ICT clients is expanding their DCN team by adding a fulltime researcher to help work on next generation DCN tech.

Role: Data Center Network Researcher

Type: Fulltime

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 as base salary + bonus + benefits

Location: Toronto or Waterloo, ON

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in the data center networks, focusing on the network optimization on the large-scale AI cluster and cloud computing networks.
  • Design protocols and algorithms in the transport layer to improve the end-to-end performance for the computing, cloud and storage applications and Build simulation and/or hardware prototype to verify the design.
  • Collaborate with the HQ experts and Corresponding product lines to promote the implementation of our design into commercial products.
  • Follow the latest progress in both industry and academia. Attend various meetings and write technical insight reports.
Job requirements

What youll bring to the team:

  • Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with research and development experience in designing and developing data center networks, distributed systems, or computer architecture.
  • Understanding of the data center networks, distributed systems, compute architecture, AI, cloud computing or related technical directions. Familiar with one or two sub-domains above.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python or P4 programming.
  • Proficient in communication protocol stacks and transport algorithms.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to engage effectively both internally and externally.
