Position Overview:

As a Service Advisor specializing in heavy-duty mechanic work, your primary responsibility is to act as the liaison between customers and the service department. You will coordinate service appointments, communicate vehicle issues and repair recommendations to customers, and ensure that all service work is completed efficiently and accurately.

Shift: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday & Tuesday - Saturday Rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers, addressing their service needs.
  • Communicate repair recommendations clearly, including costs and timelines.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and prioritize service orders.
  • Coordinate with the service team for timely repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and repair orders.
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, and manage warranty claims.
  • Collaborate with service technicians and parts staff for smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a service advisor or in a related customer service role within the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck mechanics, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers clearly.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling appointments, generating invoices, and maintaining records.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with service technicians, parts department staff, and other dealership personnel.
