West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Cariboo Pulp & Paper in Quesnel is currently recruiting for a Plant Accountant.

This role reports to the Divisional Controller and will gain exposure to the full cycle of accounting and all matters impacting the financial team on site.

You'll Do:

  • Preparation and processing of various month-end duties, including journal entries, financial statement package, related mandatory reporting and general ledger reconciliations
  • Coordination and compilation of the annual business plan
  • Assisting mill management in department cost control, cost/benefit analysis and providing financial information and recommendations

You have:

  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) or be enrolled in a designated accounting program
  • A robust computer systems skill set
  • Well-established organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities
  • A detailed and proactive approach to work
  • A high level of motivation

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between $65,000 and $80,000.
  • Annual bonus opportunity
