Position Description:The Deburrer manually removes imperfections from machined components and assemblies in accordance with procedures, in accordance with quality control and customer requirements.
Shift - Afternoon 4:30pm - 12:30pm.Role - Permanent DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Perform repetitive deburring operations by removing excess metal and surface defects from parts by polishing, grinding, and cleaning per engineering specifications
  2. Operate hand-grinding tools or machines normally used for deburring
  3. Maintain compliance with quality and meet productivity standards
  4. Operate material handling equipment such as pump truck and overhead crane
  5. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area
  6. Will assist with material handling throughout the plant or on as needed basis
  7. Over time will cross train with other functions to develop more skills
  8. Perform other duties as assigned
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
  1. One year experience in Deburring in a manufacturing environment
  2. General good housekeeping practices within work area
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  1. Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  2. Must have basic math skills
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical data, in mathematical or diagram form
  4. Must have high attention to detail
  5. Must have good eye hand coordination
  6. Must have basic mechanical ability
  7. Effective verbal and listening communications skills
  8. Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
