MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (MILLWRIGHT) - OAKVILLE

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) conducts the daily operations of the Maintenance department.

Additional responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) include:

· Troubleshooting of various mechanical equipment

· Assist with corrective action and required repairs.

· Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematic and drawings to determine work procedures.

· Conduct planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.

· Cooperate and work in a team environment while maintaining consistent attendance.

· Exercise personal safety, as well as promote and enforce safety among crew members.

· Develop and maintain good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments at the plant.

Qualifications:

· Industrial Millwright/Mechanic certification is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates pursing an Industrial Millwright/Mechanic certification.

· Knowledge of presses, mills, CNC machines and packaging equipment is an asset.

· Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an industrial environment.

· Proficient mechanical understanding.

· General welding and fabrication knowledge.

· Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

· Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.

· Highly motivated, results orientated team player.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work indoors and outdoors will be required.

· Ability to work weekends as required.

Hourly wage: $37.13 to $46.78

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
