The Position:

Summit Search Grouphas been engaged byOrenda Commodity Services Ltdon the recruitment of their next Seed Cleaner and Bulk Receiver.

At Orenda, Quality and Service are their only priorities.With experience in all aspects of Special Crops, including commodity markets, farm sourcing, processing, blending, packaging, and shipping, they strive for perfection in everything they do. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager and Elevator Manager, the successful candidate will take incoming grain, load bulk trailers, and clean seed to the quality required for the production team. Whether youre working with sunflower seeds destined for bird feed or specialty grains for export, attention to detail and quality is key.

Our ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, show creativity, and forward thinking in their daily tasks. You must be able to blend grain to meet end-user requirements, which are often different one to another, while keeping track of inventory and handling multiple deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Operate indents and air screen machines for seed cleaning, ensuring all incoming product meets specifications and performing cleanouts as required.
• Coordinate with corresponding departments for bulk receiving, shipping bulk intermodals on schedule, and managing product inventory in collaboration with management to ensure adequate inventory and bin management.
• Ensure fumigation of sunflowers is conducted safely and all documentation related to cleaning, shipping, and receiving is completed accurately.
• Collaborate with the safety department to meet safety requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including completing necessary training.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in Seed Cleaning or Grain Handling.
• Strong understanding of grains, blending, and agriculture.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple competing projects and tasks.
