Who you are:

When it comes to leading a team through critical incident responses, you are calm and calculated. You identify and leverage your team's strengths while removing obstacles that detract them from success. Above all, you work effectively with a cross functional team of developers, QA and product owners driven by your commitment to delivering high-quality products.
What you'll do:
- Act as a leader, coach, facilitator, and obstacle remover for your team, and manage their day-to-day activities, which includes full-stack feature development and test automation.
- Promote a culture of feedback and be responsible for career development, performance management, and goal setting for your team.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA developers and software developers to define release schedules and requirements through the Agile Framework.
- Set and maintain exceptionally high levels of software quality and reliability.
- Provide technical expertise and coaching to your team on code reviews and test automation.
- Analyze requirements, design models and specifications.
- Promote, develop, and maintain a positive user experience for customers.
- Lead the design and implement scalable, reliable, secure, cloud-based domain registry solutions.
- Manage escalations and respond to critical incidents, while being a member of the on-call rotation team.
What you'll bring:
- 10+ years experience in information technology focused on software/application development.
- 4+ years experience in leading software development teams.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience working with senior management at the strategic and operational levels.
- Excellent Agile software development methodology experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, REST, SQL, XML.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Sound knowledge of quality assurance automation and best practices.
- Knowledge of domain name industry and related protocols, including DNS, Bind, EPP and WHOIS/RDAP is an asset.
