Role: Data Scientist-Service Assurance (Commercial Managed Services)

Job Description:

Position Overview: Lead the data analytics practice within the Service Assurance PMO, focusing on commercial managed services performance analysis and optimization. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead the data migration initiative from legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Design and implement data visualization solutions using Google Looker, Tableau Dashboard and MS Power BI

Develop predictive models for service performance optimization

Develop volume forecasting models against tactical automation delivery

• Create automated reporting solutions for operational KPIs

• Provide actionable insights to improve service delivery metrics

• Lead the establishment of data governance practices

• Serve as the technical SME for data-related initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field

• 5+ years experience in data science and analytics

• Proven expertise in:

o Python, R, or similar programming languages

• SQL and database management

o GCP infrastructure and tools

o Microsoft Fabric and Power BI

• Data visualization tools, specifically Google Looker

• Statistical analysis and machine learning

• Experience with telecommunications data analysis preferred

• Strong understanding of IT service management principles

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in data modeling and ETL processes

• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms

• Expertise in statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms

• Strong programming skills (Python, SQL, R)

• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with BI tools, specifically Google Looker

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills to present complex data insights to various stakeholders

Key Deliverables:

Establish and maintain data analytics framework

• Lead successful data migration to GCP

• Develop automated reporting solutions ( Operational KPI's, Actual Volume, Trending and Forecasting)

• Provide monthly performance insights and recommendations

• Create predictive models for service optimization

This role reports to the PMO Manager and will work closely with service delivery teams, technical specialists, and senior management.
