Engineering Search Firm is looking for the right team member to join our growing engineering services division. The position is for an Electrical Engineer who holds a P. Eng in Ontario and is skilled in protection and control.MUST HAVE EXPERENCE WTH SUBSTATIONS,PORTECTION CONTROLS OR UTILITIESLocation: Niagara Falls, Ontario, On Site Only.Responsibilities
• Create designs for new and modified HV and LV electrical installations in the role of Design Lead / Project Manager.
• Create designs for new and replacement protection & control installations in the role of Design Lead Project Manager.
• Develop project specifications and tender documents.
• Develop estimates and project schedules, and track project expenditures against budget.
• Produce study reports including short circuit, co-ordinaton, arc flash, relay settings, and equipment evaluations.
• Conduct and direct site visits to evaluate equipment and conditions, retrieve data and identify solutions.
• Provide design direction to technicians and EIT's.
• Review, approve and stamp design drawings.
• Review and approve shop drawings.
• Prepare commissioning procedures and coordinate commissioning of equipment.
• Perform investigation of events and recommend solutions.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Qualifications, Experience, Education

Electrical Engineering Degree and registered as a P.Eng.

6 years' experience in utility or industrial power systems including a working knowledge of high voltage distribution, low voltage distribution, protective relaying, controls, SCADA, communications and power system operations

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (OESC, Reg. 22/04, IEEE, ANSI)

Commitment to safety in all work-related activities

Sound computer skills including knowledge of power system analysis software (ETAP, EasyPower or equivalent)

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated report writing capability

Good work ethic with a positive approach to meeting customer expectations

Ability to work independently.

Valid class G driver's license
