Note: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote.

Must have:

  • Experience with OBIEE, OAC, ODI, SQL, APEX and related object design, build and implementation.
  • Experience in building BI and Analytics applications optimized for high-performance, high-volume reporting and analytics functions.
  • Experience with data integration, data cleansing, and integration with OBIEE, and OAC.
  • 5+ year of primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning and Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW)

Description

Deliverables for Sr. BI Specialist:

  • A Senior Business Intelligence Specialist FFS resource is needed for the IFIS in Cloud Project for the below deliverables:
  • Validate business requirements and update functional and technical design documents.
  • Retrofit custom ETL scripts and optimize OBIEE solution based on business requirements.
  • Prepare impact assessment documentations and recommended approach for meeting client requirements.
  • Prepare Implementation plan and effort estimates.
  • Work with other team members to execute recommended/approved approach.
  • Complete fit/gap and solution options for Oracle business intelligence solutions including OBIEE, and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
  • Complete prototypes, set-up DEV environments and document optimal deployment solutions
  • Complete design documents.
  • Document and complete testing of OBIEE BAR files, data, reports, and visualizations.
  • Identify the PII (Personally identifiable information) in databases, develop scripts, perform Data Masking of PII, and validate the same.
  • Complete knowledge transfer to OPS team.

Other deliverables include:

  • Update semantic layer, modify, or build new reports and dashboards and underlying data structures and related components.
  • Build, test, and migrate reports and related objects.
  • Provide knowledge training to OPS resources that will maintain the solution post go-live.
  • Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned deadlines.
  • Notify the Ministry Client/OPS Organization project manager in writing of any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables as soon as he/she becomes aware of them.
  • Submit Deliverables for the Ministry Client/OPS Organization approval as they are completed.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Ministry Client/OPS Organization security procedures and practices.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Ministry Client/OPS Organization architecture/technology standards and best practices.
  • Comply with the Ontario Government and the Ministry Client/OPS Organization Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Provide knowledge and skill transfer to a designated Ministry Client/OPS Organization staff; and
  • Comply with the Ontario Government I&IT Directive, Operational Policy on the I&IT Project Gateway Process, and other applicable Guidelines, Standards and Procedures

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 12 Expertise (75%)

  • Experience with OBIEE, OAC, ODI, SQL, APEX and related object design, build and implementation.
  • Experience in building BI and Analytics applications optimized for high-performance, high-volume reporting and analytics functions.
  • Experience with data integration, data cleansing, and integration with OBIEE, and OAC.
  • Skilled in Software Development Life cycle and can apply in understanding, building and maintaining custom solutions.
  • 5+ year of primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning and Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW)
  • 5+ year of extensive, hands on, end to end implementation/Operate experience using OAC/OBIEE Integration/Reporting tools Analysis & Dashboards, Oracle Data Integrator
  • Good knowledge of OBIA pre-built content and experience with customizing/extending OBIA pre-built content of different modules
  • Solid understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse (DW), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Data Modelling concepts and SQL/PLSQL.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle Applications Oracle E-business Suite or Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM (the Oracle cloud SaaS offering) is preferable.
  • Good knowledge of Database, Cloud Concepts, Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW), Data Integration is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in data masking of PII (Personally identifiable information)
  • Good understanding of ITIL based Operate/managed services processes and methodologies including experience in incident management, minor enhancements, service request management, application upgrades, etc. Hands on experience in Hypercare support would also be beneficial.

Oracle E-business Suite R12 Expertise (15%)

  • In-depth experience in providing and documenting impact assessment for application changes, upgrades, and patches.
  • Experience in eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements.
  • Experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance and Documentation.
  • Experience in building custom extensions and retrofit of code.
  • Experience in technical guidance on Oracle E-Business Suite custom development.

Change Management, Training and Transition (5%)

  • Demonstrated experience with Data reconciliation.
  • Experience in training, transition and change management activities.

Soft Skills (5%)

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal: clear, concise, and jargon-free.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and details to clients, development.
