Salary:

FINSANA is seeking a Junior Credit Risk Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to support our consumer lending operations in Canada, the USA, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Paraguay, and Panama. The ideal candidate will assist the Manager of Risk in developing and managing risk analysis, monitoring, and control practices that drive responsible credit risk management and support profitable growth. This role also requires collaboration with Country Managers and various business units to meet data requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Mining, Modeling, and Analysis

  • Conduct deep-dive analytics to diagnose, document, and report the drivers of unexpected changes in portfolio composition and credit performance across multiple regions.
  • Present findings and insights on potential impacts to losses to management.
  • Support the development of risk models to optimize origination, account management, and collections processes.
  • Perform analysis to enhance credit strategies, including customer risk segmentation for improved portfolio performance.
  • Forecast, track, and measure critical business metrics (e.g., loss rates, approval rates, loan conversion rates, credit quality) to support new initiatives and campaigns.

Forecasting and Reporting

  • Maintain standardized reports that evaluate the credit risk of the portfolios.
  • Monitor delinquency and charge-off trends at both the vintage and segment levels.
  • Apply insights to loss forecasting models and communicate risks and opportunities to Senior Management.
  • Provide regular assessments of portfolio risk and business unit performance by monitoring key risk indicators, conducting periodic reviews, and consistently communicating findings.

Project Management and Collaboration with IT

  • Manage projects and coordinate implementations with team members.
  • Create and manage IT requests/tickets for new and ongoing projects.
  • Conduct testing for special requirements in pre-production and production environments and provide sign-offs.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in an analyst role or a similar position.
  • Proficiency in data extraction and mining tools such as SQL, R, and Python.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative methodologies, risk models, and analytical tools.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Superior analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, understand complex data, and develop actionable insights.
