ABOUT THE ROLE

Doman Building Materials is an exciting place to work as an HR Communication Specialist. We are excited to add to our Human Resources team based in Vancouver. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Communication Specialist will manage and maintain Doman's internal training content and e-learning platform. Operating in every province, except P.E.I., this role provides an opportunity to work with Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in multiple provinces.

As a member of a 14-person Human Resources department, you will be an integral part of the creation, administration, and management of our training content and internal platforms.

ABOUT YOU

You are a communication professional who communicates and maintains relationships with Managers and SMEs. You are confident in your writing skills and comfortable with technology. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are confident addressing shifting priorities across multiple projects.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Collaborate with SMEs to create written content for eLearning and training
  • Administration and management of Doman's learning platform.
  • Manage, maintain, and update content on the company Careers page.
  • Continue intranet upkeep, design, and development to maintain a fresh and modern look
  • Assist Human Resources activities for the employee training lifecycle as needed
  • Assist with projects as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience writing training content (non-technical).
  • Experience supporting or managing an LMS and managing a company intranet is an asset.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, and communication skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of duties and responsibilities.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Communications

HOURS OF WORK

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
