Role Overview:
As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will join a small team of mobile engineers who are passionate about making our users' lives better. Our product is centered around the mobile experience, and we need an iOS and Android developer who will take ownership of major features, working closely with Product Management and UX to design and deliver ongoing new and improved product capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Contribution: Deliver quality output, by writing and reviewing code, following and refining best practices, and engaging in collaborative architecture, problem solving, and solutioning.
- Work Management: Oversee major feature delivery, considering architecture, timelines, scope, resource availability, and risks.
- Leadership: Help align your team's activities with the company's overall engineering vision, identifying and driving efficiency enhancements within your team.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other stakeholders like Product Management and UX to align technical outcomes with business goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively within your team and with other teams to make sure your technical solutions will fit into the big picture.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience designing, writing, and shipping multi-module React Native code on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Comfortable bridging higher-level framework code with lower-level native code (on both platforms).
- Proficient in writing unit and integration tests to validate correctness early in the development cycle.
- Bonus points: Familiar with cloud technologies, localization, computer vision, and/or firmware development.
- Experience collaborating effectively with team members and other stakeholders to develop concepts from ideation, to launch, to subsequent iteration.
- Ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
