We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office. You will be responsible for various administrative tasks and providing assistance to our team members. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

JOB: Receptionist

PAY: $18/hr

TYPE: Full time (NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS)

LOCATION: Kitchener, ON

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome visitors and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Sort and distribute mail, emails, and faxes.
  • Coordinate appointments and maintain calendars for executives or management.
  • Provide information to visitors and clients about the organization, its services, and products.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information or refer inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, data entry, and organizing documents.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials.
  • Arrange meetings and prepare meeting rooms as needed.
  • Maintain records and logs of visitors, calls, and messages.
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
  • Proficiently use office equipment such as printers, copiers, and fax machines, as well as software like MS Office or similar.
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in an administrative role is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
