Welcome to M3, we aree looking for experienced Carpenters to join our team.

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including installing doors and windows, building furniture, and identifying the necessary materials for each project. You will work with a team of specialists who have the skills and expertise to complete each project successfully. If you have prior experience or training in carpentry, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work.
  • Compliance with local building codes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Designing and installation of cabinets, shelves, drywall, and insulation.
  • Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment.
  • Adding fittings and fixtures including door handles, hinges, locks, and closures.
  • Selecting lumber as per the requirements of the project and sourcing wood that fits within budget and meets style specifications.
  • Ability to assess the quality of woodwork and materials
  • Liaising with personnel to discuss project details and timelines.
  • Consulting other construction professionals to ensure the best possible results and the final product.
  • Reading blueprints and designs prepared by other architects, construction professionals, and ensuring they meet building code recommendations and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 3 years experience as a journey-level carpenter.
  • Additional certification may be required.
  • High level of creativity and excellent design skills
  • Cabinet making or joinery skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Able to use common hand tools and power tools.
  • PPE and carpentry trade tools.
  • Troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Physical stamina for lifting equipment and working at various heights and in tight spaces.

Nice to Haves:

  • Have own vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Has Fall Protection, First Aid and/or WHMIS.
  • Experience working on high-rise projects
  • Tickets in Heavy Equipment Use.
  • Live in and have access to sites in Vancouver and Lower Mainland.
