Responsibilities:

• General clean-up of the site; sweeping, removing, and properly disposing of debris and waste materials and overall site maintenance.
• Unloading cleaning supplies, preparing necessary materials and setting up required equipment.
• Lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Up to 25 lbs.
• Assisting other cleaners as needed.

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Dust and wipe surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Empty and clean waste bins regularly.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
• Ensure all areas are well-maintained and presentable.
• Handle routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs.
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Assist with minor facility-related tasks as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure overall cleanliness standards are met.

Requirements:

• Building Services Worker Certification (Must Have).
• 1 Year + experience working in Hospitals/Schools.

• Proven experience as a cleaner or janitor is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting and carrying.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing duties.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing cleaning needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Nice to Haves (But Not Necessary):

• Have access to own vehicle or reliable transportation.
• First Aid and/or WHMIS.
