Newforce Energy Services Ltd. is a diversified oilfield services company with divisions in pipeline construction, pipeline maintenance and integrity, facilities construction, facilities maintenance, lease construction, and electrical and instrumentation (E&I).
Newforce is currently looking for an Dispatcher who is experienced in the Oil and gas industry to join our team based out of Sylvan Lake
Knowledge
- 3+ years of dispatching experience.
- OR 5+ years of Pipeline or Facility experience
- Rudimentary computer knowledge – including Microsoft, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.
- Aba data software
- Operating heavy equipment
- Safety Tickets; H2S, First Aid, and CSO
- Minimum of a class 5 license (clean driver abstract) - (must be non-GDL)
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure for time-sensitive jobs.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Dispatching
- Dispatching crews; scheduling transportation crews and routes; and other related activities
- Create ERPs and provide crews with accurate directions to the site.
- Review reports from the GPS system.
- Make “First Calls” for utility locates as needed.
- Answer telephones.
- Maintain a list of employees and contractors and their competencies.
- Update and maintain dispatch journal daily.
- Coordinate current and upcoming crew and equipment needs with Supervisors and Sylvan Lake Dispatchers.
- Assist mechanics with prioritization and scheduling of field repairs and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards, and regulations enforce and participate in safety improvement.

Material and yard
- Maintaining inventories of materials, parts, and products.
- Requisition of supplies and materials
- Ensure the yard is organized and well-maintained including lawn care, weeding, and snow removal.
Administration
- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work.
- Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from work crews, Supervisors, sales personnel, and management.
- Assist office administration with review and monitoring of field tickets for completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
- Assist office administration with processing purchasing transactions.
- Work with the HSE department to complete monthly inspections and audits.
