Salary: $35.00 hourly for 30 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Carpenter will deliver high-quality craftsmanship and durable construction solutions, ensuring client satisfaction while adhering to safety and industry standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements and necessary materials.
- Design and prepare layouts that meet building code regulations, using accurate measuring instruments.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood alternatives, and lightweight steel for various construction needs.
- Construct and install structural components, such as foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roofing systems.
- Install and finish interior and exterior elements such as doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
- Conduct maintenance, repairs, and renovations on wooden structures in diverse environments such as residential properties, hospitals, and industrial facilities.
- Oversee and mentor apprentices and other workers to ensure quality and efficiency in project completion.
- Prepare cost estimates and project budgets for clients as needed to support planning and decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year of work experience in the position
- Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
