Position Overview:
As a Management Accountant at Herbaland, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategies and decision-making processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, your focus will be on conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing regular reports, and collaborating with department heads to ensure fiscal responsibility. With proficiency in international affairs and strong cross-cultural communication skills, you will cultivate and manage relationships with global stakeholders. Your contribution will optimize resource allocation, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall financial health of our dynamic and growing organization.
Please find the key responsibilities of the Management Accountant as follows:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making and generate regular reports.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, optimize costs, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with international stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and maintain positive relations.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and global partners, aligning financial objectives with overall business strategy.
- Develop financial models and conduct scenario analyses to assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, collaborating with external auditors to facilitate audits.
- Provide proactive insights on potential financial risks and opportunities and oversee financial systems for accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement cost-effective measures to enhance operational efficiency and benchmarking methodologies to improve financial performance.
- Manage daily tasks, including data entry, journal entries, reconciliations, and bank account management.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks such as tax management, report management, and supplier management.
- Handle asset management, including banking, cash, accounts receivable, and inventory management, and improve processes where necessary.
- Participate in month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, including variance analyses and preparation of working papers.
- Review accounting procedures, document policies, procedures, and workflows, and make recommendations for optimization.
- Investigate and resolve financial transaction issues and train and mentor junior team members.
- Complete government filing requirements, manage accounts receivable tasks, and handle payroll processing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including intercompany, consolidations, and elimination entries.
- Address problems in the book and suggest improvements to enhance system efficiency.
- Support the CEO with month-end and year-end reviews and collaborate with the IT department to implement system improvements and updates.
An ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimal 1-2 years of accountant or management-related experience is needed, with proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in English with the ability to engage in professional communication, negotiation, and diplomacy is preferred.
- Proven experience in cultivating and managing relationships with international stakeholders, government agencies, NGOs, and businesses.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
- Experience in budget development, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Familiarity with financial systems and the ability to drive system improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
