We are looking for a dedicated Outside Sales Representative to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch service to our customers.

Overview:

As an Outside Sales Representative for BuildDirect, you will be responsible for driving sales in the flooring market by building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. You'll promote and sell our extensive range of flooring products, helping partners access top solutions for their projects. This role requires a self-motivated, target-driven individual with strong communication skills and a passion for sales. Supported by our local Pro Center resources, you'll have the tools to succeed while working toward sales targets with uncapped commission potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target key customers such as contractors, developers, builders, flooring stores, and home flippers in the designated sales territory.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Develop a deep understanding of BuildDirect's full range of flooring products (vinyl, wood, laminate, carpet) to effectively communicate their benefits and value to clients.
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase BuildDirect's offerings and close sales.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within BuildDirect's strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using BuildDirect's CRM system (Pipedrive).
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including the Pro Center, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and timely delivery to meet client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in flooring, construction, or home improvement.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and the challenges faced by partners in the flooring industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven by achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (Pipedrive preferred) and other sales tools to track and manage performance.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed within the designated territory.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
