Overview:
As an Independent Sales Representative for BuildDirect, you will be responsible for driving sales and building relationships in the flooring market. You will promote and sell our extensive range of flooring products to key customers in your territory, including contractors, developers, builders, flooring stores, and home flippers. This commission-only role requires a highly self-motivated, target-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for sales. You'll work independently, setting your own schedule, with the full support of BuildDirect's resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target key customers such as contractors, developers, builders, flooring stores, and home flippers in your sales territory.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients, offering exceptional service aligned with BuildDirect's high standards.
- Develop expertise in BuildDirect's full range of flooring products (vinyl, wood, laminate, carpet) to effectively communicate their value to clients.
- Conduct engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to close sales and drive business growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth within your territory.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using BuildDirect's CRM system (Pipedrive).
- Collaborate with BuildDirect's internal teams to ensure efficient order fulfillment and timely product delivery to clients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in flooring, construction, or home improvement.
- Strong understanding of the flooring market and retail operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented, driven to achieve sales targets.
- Ability to work independently, managing your time and sales efforts efficiently.
- Proficiency in using CRM software (Pipedrive preferred) and other sales tools to manage leads and track performance.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your designated territory.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
