Position: Journeyman Millwright
Location: Thunder Bay, ON

Job Description:
As a Journeyman Millwright, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial grain machinery and mechanical systems. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring the reliability of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, specifically grain-handling systems.
  
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment according to schedules and standards.
  
• Fabricate, repair, and install mechanical components following established safety and operational procedures.
  
• Assist other Maintenance and Electrical teams as needed to ensure smooth plant operations.
  
• Perform equipment alignments and calibrations according to industry standards.
  
• Safely operate welding and cutting equipment, including TIG, MIG, ARC, Plasma, and Torch tools.
  
• Adhere to health, safety, and fire prevention regulations at all times.
  

Qualifications:

• Journeyman certification with Red Seal or Trade Qualification.
  
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferably in grain handling or a similar field.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  
• Experience with material handling systems and conveyor equipment is an asset.
  
• Proficient in welding, rigging (load balancing, hand signals), and operating mobile equipment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams to guide installation and repairs.
  
• Knowledge of industrial elevator and cleaning systems is preferred.
  
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  

Work Conditions:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (Day: 8 AM to 4 PM, Evening: 4 PM to 12 AM).
