One of our clients in Windsor-Essex is looking for a Buyer for their facility.
Responsibilities:
Source and purchase food products from suppliers and manufacturers.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Ensure that the quality and safety standards of the food products meet company requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and market conditions.
Analyze competitors and industry practices to identify opportunities for cost savings or product improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or a related field.
Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food industry.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
