The Role:
At STRIVE, we are partnered with an exciting client and a leader in their industry. They are currently seeking a skilledMaintenance Managerto join their team at oversee all site maintenance operations at theBurnabyfacility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading a team, implementing preventative maintenance plan, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and be hands-on in troubleshooting equipment issues.
This will be a Monday-Friday position with a starting time of 8 AM - 4 PM. This person will be required to be flexible for on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities within the facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment failures promptly.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source alternative parts and materials as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and service providers to stay updated on technological advancements and best practices.
- Plan and coordinate new equipment installation with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, including equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs, for management review.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and manage maintenance budgets, minimize downtime, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
Must Have's:
- 3+ years of experience leading a maintenance department in a manufacturing facility.
- Specific machinery requirement for this position.
- Trade certification or relevant educational background.
- Strong experience working with mechanical, electrical, and electronics systems.
- The ability to be hands-on and excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve equipment failures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to gain respect from employees.
- Flexible to be on call and carry out about 10% travel when required.
