The Director of Business Development will spearhead our growth initiatives across Western Canada. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the recruitment and staffing landscape, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving revenue and market expansion. This role would partner with our existing team and develop enterprise relationships with multi-site/multi-office organizations to assist in our expansion throughout Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the business development strategy for the Western Canada region, aligning with the companys overall goals and objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the recruitment and staffing industry.
  • Client Acquisition: Drive new client acquisition through effective networking, relationship-building, and targeted outreach, while expanding existing client relationships.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with businesses, industry associations, and educational institutions to enhance service offerings and market presence.
  • Sales Management: Oversee the sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to achieve sales targets and improve overall performance.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue new revenue streams, ensuring a diversified portfolio of clients and services.
  • Brand Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and attract potential clients.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development initiatives and report on progress to executive leadership.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the recruitment and staffing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and market expansion through an enterprise client base.
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment and staffing landscape in Ontario.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other business development tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
