Kapown Rehabilitation Centre has been a Centre of holistic treatment of addictions for more than 25 years. Each of our 300 clients a year are treated with the utmost respect and are provided a comprehensive evidence-based program in which to find new direction in their lives and healing from their addictions. We help individuals find the motivation, skills, resources and inner strength they need to maintain a clean and balanced lifestyle.

The Opportunity
We are currently looking to hire Janitorial Staff for our Rehabilitation Facility inGrouard, Alberta. This opportunity will be aone week on one week offpermanent position. Youll get to work with a growing organization where you will gain valuable experience in the field of rehabilitation care!
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Janitor is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and clean environment for all staff and clients of the Kapown Rehabilitation Centre.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Providing cleaning to all bathrooms and main spaces within the Kapown Centre.
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate cleaning products are available and restocked daily.
- Responsible for sweeping/vacuuming and moping all levels of the Centre.
- Ensuring surfaces are washed on a regular basis using the pressure washer.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintained.
- Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies as directed.
- Reports any potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance related issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
- Ensuring that the Centre has sufficient clean linens & towels on hand and that those linens and towels are in good condition.
- Prepare for new clients by inspecting for bed bugs, cleaning room, and ensuring new bedding and towels are placed in the drawers for the new clients arriving.

- Conscientious, thorough, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks.
You possess the following education, experience, and skills:
- High School diploma would be considered an asset.
- Any Janitorial courses would be considered an asset.
- 1-3 years experience in Custodial field is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Possess working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from heights.
- Familiar with operating, caring for, and storing custodial equipment and supplies.
