THE ROLE

STRIVE is currently partnering with a global leader in the steel industry to find a skilledIndustrial Electricianfor their Guelph facility. This is a3-month contractwith the potential for extension, ideal for individuals looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position is on theafternoon shift (3 pm 11 pm), with initial training on the day shift. ADVANTAGES

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical maintenance including troubleshooting and repairs on drives, controls and machinery
• Assist Key Electrical technician in new electrical/PLC installations, integration, improvements modifications and start-ups for the production line and facility
• Key contributor to the preventive maintenance plan as it relates to electrical topics
• Provides immediate support for emergency breakdowns
• Perform other maintenance duties as required for plant operation including basic mechanical repair
• Provide written details of work performed on Work Order forms and other documents

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ yearsof Industrial Electrician expeirence
• 442A Industrial Electrician License required
• 1 + years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the automotive industry
• Able to work in a collaborative environment
• Proven troubleshooting/technical abilities, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and a strong Get it done proactive mindset
• Experience in Siemens PLC S7 300/400 is a direct asset
