Job DescriptionThe incumbent will assist with all clerical functions necessary for the smooth operation of the Fracture Clinic including: answering the telephone and dealing with inquiries from the public and physicians offices; registering patients using Meditech software, scheduling patient appointments, ordering materials; management of supplies for the department; transcribing orders; and other related duties as required.

- Medical terminology certificate required
- A Medical Office Administration diploma from a recognized college is considered an asset
- Previous experience in a patient care/clinical setting required
- Must be familiar with procedure terminology in order to transcribe procedures
- Current knowledge of Materials Management ordering system and Order Entry
- Must have experience and be familiar with MS Word and Outlook email and have fast and accurate computer data entry skills
- A minimum of 30 wpm typing speed required
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to prioritize workload and function independently in a busy environment
- Demonstrated public relations skills and the ability to diplomatically respond to physicians, staff, and family inquires in a demanding work environment
- Must be physically able to perform the job: prolonged periods of time sitting; pushing and pulling variety of wheeled equipment; repetitive forward bending, hand/arm activities, hand/finger dexterity; and carrying/lifting approximately 25lbs
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
Additional Information
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hour day shifts, 7am-7pm (hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $26.07 to $28.28 per hour
