Your Mission:
We are seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Tool and Die Maker with specialized experience in extrusion
or injection processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tool and
die making, with a focus on precision manufacturing techniques. This role will primarily involve the
construction, maintenance, and repair of molds, dies, and tools used in extrusion or injection molding
processes. We are seeking a team player with positive energy to join our Trusscore team!
Responsibilities:
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain molds, dies, and tools used in extrusion.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine tool requirements.
• Set up and operate various machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment, to create and modify tooling components.
• Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure tooling meets quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with extrusion machines, dies, and tools, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to optimize tooling designs for efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
• Journeyman certification
• Proven experience working with extrusion or injection molding processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Flexibility to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional certifications or training in extrusion or injection molding processes.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and machining.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
