One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Shift : Days
Pay Rate : $55k - $65k
Duties and responsibilities-
Manage collection of credit card customers and manage direct sales segment from the finance side;
Effectively communicates with customers to answer questions, and resolve disputes, concerns and questions regarding outstanding owed amounts;
Sends Monthly customer statements to all customers, after reconciling for accuracy;
Initiates collection activities on accounts approaching due and drives collections if accounts reach past-due status;
Ensure that all processes are documented and updated as needed and maintain audit compliance around the entire Order to Cash Process;
Benchmark receivable collections against weekly forecasted target;
Maintains weekly and monthly collection metrics developed and monitored by Finance;
Reconcile customer accounts to ensure that payments match outstanding balances, investigating, and resolving discrepancies or billing errors.
Follow up with customers holding overdue invoices, sending reminders or collection notices as needed to encourage prompt payment.
Timely escalate all Collection, Billing and Reconciliation issues to Managers
Complete month end and year end reporting activities
Secondary resource to process customer deductions and analyze complex aged receivables and payment discrepancies;
Work closely with the acct rec/acct pay Coordinator.
Process Credits and Debits to customers.
Process transactions in multiple company ERP system.
Ability to identify payment trends and potential risks.
Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years of relevant accounts receivable experience working with recievable and collections.
Minimum College Diploma in a relevant stream;
Experience working with multi-currency is an asset.
Experience within the manufacturing sector/industry is an asset;
Strong computer skills (MS Office including Advanced Excel);
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse personality types;
Flexibility in hours required to fulfill demands as needed;
Extremely detail oriented.
