Senior/Intermediate Architectural Technologist
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded architectural firm in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their dynamic team. This position is ideal for a talented professional at the senior or intermediate level who is passionate about bringing complex projects to life, thrives in a collaborative environment, and possesses a strong technical skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the technical development of diverse architectural projects, from initial design through to construction documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and consultants to develop high-quality, detailed construction drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to solve design challenges, resolve technical issues, and achieve project goals.
- Mentor junior technologists and provide guidance on best practices, technical drawing standards, and Revit workflows.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Architectural Technologist in a professional setting, ideally with exposure to large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant software (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Suite).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction techniques, and technical detailing.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills, able to work effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
