Job Summary
Bayswater Toronto is a private, ESL school located in North York at North York Centre station. We offer ESL, EAP, test prep, and business English courses to international, adult students. We also offer Professional Certificates in International Business Management, Digital Marketing, and Project Management.
Classes have a maximum of 15 students, and all classrooms are equipped with SMART boards. Bayswater teachers are supported through PD workshops, paid prep time, and an online platform to aid in lesson planning and homework.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supply teach English as a second language classes to groups of 12-15 students.
- Teach pre-planned coverages, emergency coverages (same day), or both.
- Teach a variety of classes, including ESL, EAP, IELTS, or business English.
- Follow Bayswater policies and procedures in the Teacher Handbook.
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Valid TESL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate
Desirable
- Experience teaching English to international students
- Experience using technology in the classroom
- Experience teaching exam preparation, business English
- Cambridge DELTA/CELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL, or equivalent (TEFL-Q status)
- MA Applied Linguistics and ELT/TESOL
