The Prince George Native Friendship Center Ketso Yoh Men's Shelter is seeking to hire a full and part time Adult Front Line Support Workers to work with clients who are homeless. Ketso provides assistance to men who can access supportive recovery beds, drop-in, shelter beds as well as semi-independent housing. This position will report to the Program Coordinator.


Ideally you have:

  • Social Services Diploma or a 2 year combination of school/training and work experience.
  • Willingness and ability to work with at-risk adults in a variety of settings including their own residences/homes.
  • Awareness of community services, resources, and systems.
  • A basic knowledge of group facilitation, skill training and individual intervention techniques.
  • Experience in working with Indigenous groups/communities in a cultural context.
  • Certification: First Aid, Class 4 Driver's License (asset), CPI-Non-violent crisis intervention, Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe, or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search.
  • Ability to lift (up to 24 pounds).
  • Preference will be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry. In accordance with section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code.
  • Wage: $24.09/hr.
