Job Title: Land Development Coordinator

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
About the Client:Our client, a prominent developer in Vaughan, is seeking a Land Development Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with development experience to play a key role in impactful residential projects across the region.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and prepare development applications such as zoning amendments, site plans, and building permits, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Take a proactive role in managing administrative tasks, including document preparation, meeting coordination, and maintaining filing systems.
- Collaborate with external consultants to streamline communication and maintain project alignment through all phases of the development process.
- Maintain comprehensive records of applications, permits, and project documentation, ensuring accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support progress billing management by tracking, verifying, and submitting invoices and related financial documentation accurately and on time.
- Monitor compliance with planning regulations, zoning bylaws, and other relevant development policies.
- Act as a liaison with municipal authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to track project approvals and ensure projects move forward efficiently.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates to inform stakeholders of project milestones and progress.
- Identify potential regulatory risks or delays and provide recommendations to support project managers.
- Review technical drawings and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in land development, real estate, or municipal approvals.
- Strong administrative skills, with experience managing progress billing and financial documentation.
- Knowledge of zoning bylaws, the Ontario Planning Act, and municipal development processes.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple deadlines.
- High attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance tracking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with consultants and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools.
- Experience with AutoCAD or GIS software is an asset.
